The mighty Leviathan, once thought to exist only as monster of biblical myth, is a colossal sea creature that lives in the deepest, most remote abysses of the ocean. Almost nothing is know about the life cycle of these magnificent beasts as they are incredibly rare and the extreme depths they live at make studying them nearly impossible. An adult leviathan is the ultimate apex predator eating everything in its path from schools of fish to entire pods of whales. Due to humanities over fishing of the oceans much of the leviathan’s food sources have disappeared, leading too increased contact with humans as they hunt. As a result of this increased contact they will sometimes attack ships having mistaken them for food; entire fleets have disappeared without a trace.
